Attorney’s Vivian Khalaf and Omar Abuzir have filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of U.S. Citizen Clients against President Donald J. Trump, Senator Mitch McConnell, and the Acting Secretary of the Department of Treasury in their Official Capacities. 

Plaintiffs representing a class of U.S. citizens have been denied Covid-19 stimulus checks. The suit filed in federal court alleges violations of their civil rights, and demanding that the government declare their rightful entitlements under the CARES Act which affords them the equal protection of U.S. laws.

The citizens are entitled to government funding, but have been denied for the reason of being married to non-citizens, which is their fundamental right as citizens of the United States. U.S. citizens and their U.S. citizen children impacted by the discriminatory purpose and intent of the CARES Act’s restrictions deserve the full protection of U.S. laws.
